Within My Own Skin

This film takes me on a journey with my parents to our rural hometown of Vavenby near Clearwater, B.C. My father worked at the local sawmill and my mother at multiple jobs. I explore themes around the sense of conflict and duality I felt growing up in two cultures. Kamel or Indian at home, and Kam or Western when I walked out the doors of our home. In this film, I share what finally made me feel comfortable within my own skin.
